Winter is coming: How is your business?

Are you and your business ready?

Hi, nice of you to drop by again. After the disturbance last time I posted, I am glad to say that everything is feeling much better now. My question to you is how is your business?

What has been happening?

After the episode with the cough and stay at the local A&E I have been attending the out patient department. Having to go to the hospital for various test, including a bronchoscopy (a camera passed via the nose to check the lungs) and another CT scan of the chest. There was no prior mention of the flushing though, injecting water in the bronchial tube and taking a sample (or three). The ‘best bit’ was left to the doctor to explain when asking for your signature.

Have one more planned visit to see the respiratory consultant and see what he has to say about it all.

Making progress this year

There has been seasonal talk here in the UK, as we are officially going from autumn (UK term for the American fall) into winter. Meteorological winter starts at the beginning of December, seasonal is later in the month.

So, on a seasonal note, what are you doing on the approach of winter?

Seasonal progress

Now, as we approach the main seaonal holidays (our American cousins are between holidays as they have had Thanks Giving and Black Friday/Cyber Monday) this is a good time to reflect on where your business is going.

  • How is your business performing?
  • Are you where you want to be with your business?
  • Is your business performing as you expect?

Check your metrics

How are your metrics performing? I assume you know what your metrics are. Some measures that you need to consider:

  • Number of visitors
  • Number of visitors converted to buyers
  • Cost of advertising
  • Return on investment
  • Cost of customer acquisition

Site performance

You do have an analytics tool connected to your site(s)? Of course you do, but have you been using it properly (do you know how to use it)?

Have to cut it a bit short for now……

I would welcome your comments in the comment box below, meanwhile all the best with your business. Let me know how you are getting on.
