What the heck: Bridging Pages?

Motivation

I had developed a slight cough, which had disturbed my sleep that night, but went into the day job as normal. I was feeling alright, been talking to colleagues as usual when I coughed abit more than usual and felt something in my mouth. Spat out blood in kitchen sink, when to the toilet to get some tissue and coughed again, a lot more blood this time.

Hi, Brian back again, have something special for you that I found out about on the Quick Start Challenge, bridging pages. I am sure you will be interested as it will help with your affiliate marketing. I wrote about the QSC last time, with an outline of what was expected. Not all plans come to fruition though.

Latest news and happenings

What has been happening?

Wow what has been happening! Mum passed out of this life at the end of August, had the funeral towards the end of September, when the QSC was starting. Things had been quite hectic traveling up an down, but were just about manageable.

Cut a long story short I had to go to the A&E department at my local hospital. I ended up in the hospital for five days before I could be discharged. Two further weeks of recouperation and I am able to get back into the swing of things.

What happened with the QSC?

I was not able to complete this having been derailed in the midst of week 3. I am going to go through all the recordings and get it finished though. I found it very useful, there was a lot of material to get through, but there were challenges every week to give an incentive, with valuable prizes.

I would thoroughly reccommend wether a newbie, or experienced, there is always something new to pick up. It is usually run annually, look out for the promotions during September next year.

So, what the heck are bridge pages?

I came across the concept of the bridging page during the QSC, here’s some the historical development, courtesy of my mentor

In the old days, you would send the prospect straight on to the site which you were an affiliate of. Those days affiliate sales were far more lucrative than today. Products were 10x the costs of today, with corespondingly higher commission payments.

Bridging pages extends the original opt-in page idea in such a way as to be beneficial to you the marketeer, as you get the email of the potential customer. Then the potential customer, on the other hand gets to learn more about you.
