Was 2019 a good year for you?

What are you going to improve in 2020?

Hi Brian back again. Here we are at the end of 2019, was it a good year for you? It is currently the time to reflect on what has happened, and what you are going to do. Time to plan improvements in your business and life.

What has been happening

Well, you probably noticed that this month has opened with a bit of a bang. There has been a general election here in the UK, and maybe the Brexit talk will eventually stop after three years of talking (and arguing), what appeared as little action.

Looking on the positive side, after spending a couple of weeks with the twins (as reported last time), my wife is back after a month away. Now, after a good three months the twins have noticeably grown. Lots more pictures and video clips received.

Now the work starts

As the year is coming to an end it is appropriate to weigh up how you performed and what to do to improve your performance in the new year. Lets get started.

How to improve and make 2020 a good year for you

How has your business performed during 2019? What were your blockers? There are so many potential areas that can improve your business and its development. I have been considering the following potential topics:

Areas for consideration

  • Self Improvement
  • Starting a business
  • Running a business
  • Membership

Looking at these subjects in more detail

Self Improvement

Self improvement can cover a multitude of topics, health, fitness, wellness etc. A popular activity at this time of year is ‘The New Year Resolution’. Forget it!

If you are not prepared to commit to it, nothing will change. Sudden urges to loose weight, exercise etc do not last. (Gym memberships get cancelled after about 3 months – two months were inactive at best).

Plan for small changes:

  • Office job? – regular walk around
  • Loose weight? – eat less / exercise more
  • Walk instead of car, bus – where practical

These are just some examples.

Don’t forget the mind as well. Your mindset plays a big part in what you do, or don’t do. It is as important to you as anything else.

There are two potential problems I have mentioned before ‘Shiny Object Syndrome’ and ‘Procrastination‘ that you need to be aware of.

Starting a Business

You want to start an internet based business?

The first requirement is what is your business about, selling on-line (eCommerce), providing information, coaching, providing a service, etc.

Then to decide how to present you business on line, blogging, personal/business website, eBay Amazon type selling site, your own designed site, etc.

Running a Business

Or, you have an existing business, but:

  • You are not getting enough visitors
  • Your visitors are not buying
  • How to sell more?
  • What is a funnel?

And there are many nore intering topics to cover.

Memberships

An advanced topic is that of memberships, some questions you may have are:

  • What is a membership?
  • How do I make one?
  • How does a membership site benefit me?
  • What tools are there?

What are your interests?

To help me help you I have a quick survey for you. The topics, are as discussed above, just pick one to show your interest.

Indicate the topics of interest, by ticking the boxes. All answers will be associated with your email address, we will need your email address to accomplish this.
