Hi Brian, back again, lockdown is still here, but there are positive signs of relaxation. Did you turn your passion into an online business? Now we can go out more, and in a few days, we will see greater freedoms, able to go abroad again, meet more people. Social distancing measures relaxed, as well.
What’s Been Happening?
I am still on furlough and finishing off the garden.
Progress
The garden is completed
Do you remember I said I had planted a lot of seeds down the left-hand side of the garden? Well, they have all germinated, and the flower bulbs are all coming up as well.
I just need a cat scarer to stop the local cats from making deposits and digging out the seedlings.
What did you do during the lockdown?
Here in the UK, the lockdown restrictions are easing. We will be getting back to ‘normal’ at some point. Whatever the new normal will be.
For some, though, there is still a lot of uncertainty about the future of their employment.
Others have started using the time given and opportunities to build a business for themselves.
WELL, did you make fair use of your time
You saw my last blog post, where I asked if you have been effective.
I was taking a look at the subject of Procrastination and Perfection. There is a need to get the balance between the two correct.
Here is a link to a video I made for you, click here
Did you learn anything?
The blog post before that was about freely available training and books.
I showed a sample of free books and courses on business and marketing. Did you sign up for any? Did you further your education?
How to turn your PASSION into an online business
There are several steps to accomplish this: a quick overview is given below; full details can be found here.
Determine what your interests are. Any subject that you are particularly interested in, or even passionate about even? Do you have any hobbies that you pursue?
Find out if it is something that could be profitable. Probably the most crucial step in the process. If there are no potential buyers, there is no profitable business. The way to find this out is quite straight forward. It just requires a bit of searching.
Who would be interested in what you are doing? Your ideal customer is your target market, the buyer of what you are offering. A buyer persona is also known as an avatar.
Next, you need a following and prospective buyers. A follower is someone interested in your content, wants to be updated by you. You will need to find them; they will not come to you. Once you have found them, you can then nurture them into prospective buyers of your products and services. Your following is also your list.
Then comes monetization and scaling. When your followers start buying, that is monetization. They could be buying your products and services and other offers for which you are an affiliate. Affiliate sales earn you a commission on the first sale (also known as Front End or FE). Dependent on the affiliate product, you may get commissions on other products in the funnel.
There are two main ways to scale
- Get more customers
- Make more per customer
The most significant way to scale is with possible Joint Ventures, or your affiliates sell your products.
